katrina and graham

katrina and graham got married last month in bryan, texas. it took place in a vineyard called Messina Hof where it had a villa that accomodated her 18 guests.  the ceremony was held under a beautiful gazebo at sunset. kat walked to "at last" which was sung gracefully and accompanied by an acoustic guitar. guests sat on white chairs which encircled the gazebo as eyes watered and tears rolled while the couple exchanged their eloquent vows. dinner was held immediately after the ceremony in the vineyard room- served on a table decorated with lillies and other small flowers in carefully selected vases. bottomless wine and champagne straight from the vineyard filled the glasses which made the night end in so much laughter (and broken corkscrews..woops!)

it was hard to capture moments while trying to hold tears back myself, as kat is the first of my once close-knit circle of friends to get married. i've experienced and photographed grand, elaborate weddings but i have to say this was the most beautiful and heartfelt, even (especially) in its simplicity. it was sophisticated without trying too hard. the most minor details were tended to and the added personal touches almost had a sentimental feel. it was stress-free and very happy. the only challenge for me was that texas heat.  i'd also like to add that i'm very proud of kat for putting her wedding together mostly by herself. it was truly impressive.

here are some images from kat and graham's unique day.
congratulations you two!

  1. I am getting all heartfelt seeing these pics. You have done a great job capturing the tenderness and surrealism of this event for me to see - we've all advanced so much from our adolescence.

The last pic of the gazebo is great and so are those barrels.
